Summer at the Teifi Valley Railway: the railway is now open every Saturday and Sunday until September


as well as:


May Day bank holiday weekend: Saturday 4th to Monday 6th May (inclusive)


May half term: Saturday 25th to Thursday 30th May (inclusive)


Summer holidays: Saturday 20th July to Wednesday 4th September inclusive


(please note that the railway will not be open on Fridays during the summer holidays)


On each day the railway is running, the site will be open 11am - 4pm, with trains running hourly from 11.30am until 3.30pm.

The Teifi Valley Railway is a narrow gauge 2ft (610mm) railway bult on the former GWR Newcastle Emlyn branch line in rural West Wales.


    We are situated in Henllan, near the towns of Llandysul and Newcastly Emlyn, between Carmarthen and Cardigan. 


    Apart from our main 2ft narrow gauge railway, we have plenty on offer for families during the running season, including:


    • Miniature railway
    • Cafe
    • Play areas, crazy golf and quoits


    The Teifi Valley Railway has re-opened the narrow gauge line to Pontprenshitw. At the station, visitors are able to take a walk down to see the waterfalls underneath the original Great Western Railway bridge. Find out more about the history of the line - click here.
